3. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION

AIRGAMMA calculates quickly the external exposure to gamma rays from a radioactive cloud.
top ]
4. METHOD OF SOLUTION

The external exposure is calculated by interpolating the normalized doses providing on the basis of the Gaussian plume model.

5. RESTRICTIONS ON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROBLEM:  Memory requirement is 30 Kbytes.
top ]
6. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME

About 1.6 seconds are required to calculate the sample case on FACOM-M380.
NEA-1130/01
NEA-DB ran the test cases included in this package on an IBM 3083 computer. The following CPU times (in seconds) were required: 1.3 (case 1); 26.6 (case 2); 169.5 (case 3).
